Bripower ESD series has excellent dynamic performance with current rise time of less than 1ms, which is very suitable for battery test and battery simulation.
As energy storage components, batteries play a key role in solar power stations, electric vehicles and other fields. Due to the product characteristics of the battery, each application specification of the battery must be tested under all possible electrical and environmental conditions.

Aviation
BriPower KGS series is a high-performance AC/DC power source, which contains multi output power levels from 15kVA to 500kVA. Using SiC MOSFET PWM technology, the output frequency range is from DC to 2kHz (Standard 1KHz, 2000Hz with HF option), and output voltage up to 750V L-N (Standard 300V L-N, customized voltage up to 750V L-N). KGS Series is well suited for aerospace applications. Many of the research in Aviation will be in future in higher frequency and higher Voltage and KGS help engineer in providing high Voltage and high Frequency at the same time.

ESA -62116 option for anti-islanding test
The -62116 option of BriPower ESA series provides an alternative solution for anti-islanding test.
In IEC62116-2008, R, L, C load should be adjusted according following steps to have Qf = 1,0 ± 0,053.
- Determine the amount of inductive reactance required in the resonant RLC circuit using the relation QL = Qf × PEUT= 1,0 × PEUT.
- Connect an inductor as the first element of the RLC circuit. Adjust the inductance to
- Connect a capacitor in parallel with the inductor. Adjust the capacitive reactance so that QC + QL = – QEUT.
- Connect a resistor that results in the power consumed by the RLC circuit equaling
PEUT.
While using ESA with -62116 option, working in anti-islanding test mode, parameters such as PAC, QAC, PEUT, will be set directly. During the test, ESA will calculate the equivalent R, L, C values to have Qf = 1.0 ± 0.053, and simulate RLC load in real time. And the R, L, C values will be displayed.
In this way, the R, L, C load adjusting steps are not the same as what is suggested in the test standard, but it meets the requirements of the test standard, and provides a more convenient testing method.
Note:
ESA-62116 can only simulate RLC load for sine waveform, 50/60Hz input.
